A genuine 2015 note from Exeter, the region’s former local currency. You could spend it interchangeably with Sterling, in businesses where you saw the E£ sign, and it supported their communities.

The E£15 note was issued to commemorate the 2015 Rugby World Cup which held three of its matches at the local Sandy Park Rugby stadium. It was issued 1 September 2015 and expired on 31 December 2016. The note shows Exeter Chiefs' and England star Jack Nowell by Clive Chilvers on one side and a photo themed as the World in Union on the other. The unusual hologram appropriately shows a rugby ball.
