A genuine 2015 note from Exeter, the region’s former local currency. You could spend it interchangeably with Sterling, in businesses where you saw the E£ sign, and it supported their communities.

This note was issued in 2015 and was valid until 30 September 2018 and reproduces drawings by seven-year-old Eden Valentine. The unusual hologram shows Gerald the Giraffe from the Royal Albert Memorial Museum.
