Quiet holiday!

The holiday has (understandably) been quiet. With little news around, we have taken the time to go through our stock and see what is around. Most notable were the pounds from the Lake District. I had a quick chat with Ken, and the launch of the 2019 notes has been delayed. Due in mid-December, the Lake District Pound is not launching their new designs to the public until mid-January. As soon as they are around, we will let you know.

If you were given any as a Christmas present, check the expiry date. The notes from the first series expire on 31 January 2019, and as far as we know, there is no grace period. In our opinion, the Lake District Pound missed a trick there, as people will be reluctant to give them to friends. Say you're planning to visit the Lakes at Easter, you will need the new issue ones.

Anyway, it is not our place to comment on the marketing strategy for a note, merely to provide them for you.

Watch this space for news when the 2019 designs are available.

Happy New Year
